Overview 

This itnerary covering most histrocal and Cultural and  famous stops along the ancient Silk Road. In Turpan there is much to learn as we see how the Kariz irrigation water system works, visit ancient ruins, and then experience the culture through a home-stay in a local family.

Detailed itinerary:

Day 1: Xi an

Upon arriving in Xi an, check into your hotel and take a short rest before heading to the Bell and Drum Towers to admire the ancient citys time-keeping architecture. Visit the Xian City Wall, where you can choose to cycle or stroll, immersing yourself in the historical charm of the ancient city. Head to Hui Street for a taste of local specialties such as mutton soup with flatbread, cold noodles, and steamed sponge cake.


Day 2 : in  Xi an

After breakfast, head to the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor. Each terracotta warrior has unique facial features and intricate clothing details, showcasing the superb sculpting skills of ancient craftsmen. Its grand scale and awe-inspiring presence leave a deep impression. Visit the Great Wild Goose Pagoda to admire its architectural artistry and watch the musical fountain show in the Great Wild Goose Pagoda Square. Head to the Tang Dynasty Ever-bright City to enjoy the night views and experience the prosperity of the Tang Dynasty.


Day 3: Xi an-Dunhuang

Take a plane or train to Dunhuang, and check in at the hotel upon arrival. Go to Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Spring to experience sand sliding, camel riding and other projects, and enjoy the wonder of the desert. Taste donkey meat noodles, apricot peel water and other special foods in Dunhuang city.

Day 4: Dunhuang

Visit the Mogao Caves to appreciate the charm of thousand-year-old grotto art and understand the profound Buddhist culture. Visit the ancient city of Dunhuang to feel the architectural style and cultural atmosphere of ancient Western Regions. Watch performances such as "Dunhuang Grand Ceremony" or "Dunhuang Again" to gain a deeper understanding of Dunhuangs history and culture.



Day 5: Dunhuang-Turpan

Take a plane or train to Turpan, and check in at the hotel after arriving. Visit the ancient city of Jiaohe to feel the vicissitudes of the ancient city. Taste Xinjiang delicacies such as grilled mutton skewers and hand-grabbed rice in Turpan city.

Day 6: Turpan

Visit the Flaming Mountain and experience the world of fire in "Journey to the West". Go to Grape Valley, taste all kinds of grapes and learn about the folk culture of the Uygur people. Stay in a characteristic homestay in Turpan and feel the atmosphere of the life of the Uygur people.

Day 7: Turpan-Urumqi

Take a train or bus to Urumqi, and check in at the hotel after arriving. Visit Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar, buy souvenirs, and feel the ethnic customs of Xinjiang. Try local delicacies such as large plate chicken and baked naan near the bazaar.


Day 8: Urumqi-Kashgar

Fly to Kashgar, check in at the hotel after arrival. Visit the Id Kah Mosque and feel the strong Islamic cultural atmosphere. Taste the special food such as jar meat and baked baozi in the ancient city of Kashgar.


Day 9: Kashgar

Visit the ancient city of Kashgar, stroll through the old streets, admire traditional Uyghur architecture, and purchase unique handicrafts. Experience an extraordinary journey back in time at Xiangfei Garden, feeling the passion and legend of romantic love stories. Head to the elevated dwellings to learn about the traditional lifestyle and architectural features of the Uyghur people. Watch Uyghur song and dance performances to experience the charm of Xinjiangs folk culture.


Day 10: Kashgar-Tashkorgan 

Starting from Kashgar, head along the China-Pakistan Friendship Highway to Taxkorgan County, enjoying the scenic views of Aoyitake Red Mountain, White Sand Mountain, and Karakul Lake. Upon arrival in Taxkorgan County, proceed to Stone City and Golden Grassland, admiring the ancient castle and beautiful grassland scenery. Stay in Taxkorgan County to experience the folk culture of the Tajik people.

Day 11: Tashkorgan

Visit the ancient road of Panlong, experience the thrill and excitement of the "Internet celebrity road", and enjoy the magnificent scenery of the Pamir Plateau. Visit the Tajik Folk Village to learn about the life customs and traditional culture of the Tajik people. Return to Tashan for accommodation.

Day 12: Tashkorgan -Kashgar

Return from Tashkent to Kashgar, and continue to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Pamir Plateau on the way. After arriving in Kashgar, you can go out freely or continue shopping and tasting food in Kashgar city. Then, according to the itinerary, you can go to the airport or station to end your journey.
