Overview 

The Taklamakan Desert has an area of 337,000 km2 (130,000 sq mi), making it slightly smaller than Germany, and includes the Tarim Basin, which is 1,000 kilometres (620 mi) long and 400 kilometres (250 mi) wide. It is crossed at its northern and at its southern edge by two branches of the Silk Road as travellers sought to avoid the arid wasteland. It is the world's second largest shifting sand desert with about 85% made up of shifting sand dunes ranking 16th in size in a ranking of the world's largest deserts.

Detailed Itinarary :

Day 01:Kashgar to Hanerik Village market-Yuporga –Dawakol and return to kashgar

Activates:after breakfast start your private tour to the Dawakol Desert. The Dawakol Lake is located on the southern direction of the Taklimakan Desert. The meaning of Dawakol in local language is curing lake, people swim in its waters to seek cures for their ailments. There you have options to ride camel or dune buggies in the Daewakol Desert. it is 138kms from kashgar, it takes about two hours. On the way to the Dawakol Lake you we'll visit several typical none touristic local villages. 1:00pm Beijing time you will arrive to the Dawakol Lake.

 Upon arrival we’ll pack up everything on the camel to start our camel trekking in to the Desert. During the camel trekking you will enjoy of the beautiful, clean, and high sand dunes than select a place to rest. after finish our activities in the Desert we’ll trekking back to Dawakol lake, and have a picnic lunch beside of Desert next to the lake with natural lamb Kebab or roasted fish kebab. Then head back to kashgar by another road.

You will transfer back to your hotel.
