D1: Lhasa city tour

Visit the Potala Palace in the morning, the worlds highest palace complex, an outstanding representative of Tibetan architectural art, housing a vast collection of cultural relics and artworks. In the afternoon, head to the Jokhang Temple, where a life-sized statue of Sakyamuni at twelve years old is enshrined, and the square in front of the temple is filled with devout worshippers. Later, stroll through Barkhor Street to experience Tibetan culture and purchase unique souvenirs.

D2: Lhasa-Yangzhuo Yumco-Karola Glacier-Shigatse

Yangzhuo Yungcuo is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet. The lake water is as blue as a gemstone, and the shoreline is winding and tortuous. You can overlook the whole scene from the viewing platform. Karola Glacier is one of the three continental glaciers in Tibet, and you can feel its beauty up close.

 D3: Shigatse-Jiacuo La Mountain-Jiawula Pass-Base Camp of Mount Everest.

Jiacuo La Pass is the gateway to Mount Everest, and Jiawula Pass is the only viewing platform in the world where you can see five snow peaks of 8,000 meters. The Base Camp of Mount Everest can feel the grandeur of Mount Everest up close.

D4: Base Camp of Mount Everest-Shigatse

In the morning, I watched the sunrise of Mount Everest and the sun on the golden mountain. After that, I returned to Shigatse and enjoyed the highland scenery along the way.

 D5: Shigatse-Namtso-Lhasa

Namtso is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet. The lake water is clear and reflects the blue sky and snow mountains, making the scenery beautiful. Return to Lhasa from Namtso and end the journey.
